In This Together
Our very own Pastor Rich (aka “Cutie,” according to Lexi P.) suggested that both he and I write a short introduction to the new blog, explaining what we’re hoping for.I don’t seem to be thinking in complete sentences today, so a list is what you get.
Why this blog?
- to keep our eyes on the prize
- to spur each other on
- to play I SPY, catching God red-handed in the act(s) of healing, blessing, teaching, and working through various individuals among us, and the body we are together
- to keep everybody in the loop
- to ponder and wonder in print
This is meant to be a BRC blog. Not a Rich-blog, and definitely not a Sharon-blog. I’m okay with writing for this blog (happy, in fact) if all the rest of you make a point of giving me “tips” about things you’ve noticed God and people doing, and if lots of you make comments so I don’t feel all alone out here in cyberspace. So… if you’re in, I’m in.

Tonight is the first time I have had to to explore our blog. Found it interesting. Believe it or not I was at a loss for words! I know I see things I think should be shared but the memory fails me. I may have to jot down these “acts” as I see them in order to share in the future. Pat O.

Wendy,
The sadness you feel and runs through your family, your waking up in the middle of the night, and maybe even feeling lost and alone are normal feelings and challenges people experience when there is a death of someone close to you. You are not expected to be happy and whole again this soon after her death or if ever. You might feel an emptiness in your life and in your heart that the loss of your mom has created. It will take time. Whilst BRC can’t replace your mom, God has given you a church family who loves to see you worshipping with us. Your hugs are warming to many and your smile brightens our day.
