What a great story. Makes me think of the pain that we all must feel on any given day from time to time, and just want for just one person to come to our need, or to share in our pain, to say its going to be alright, or to just be there for us. That's the Beauty of the Trinity, He is always with us, he feels our pain, our sadness, our joy. The Grace of him creating this world for all of us, His sending his Son to Die for us, His raising himself on the third day. His yearnng for us to be be full of his spirit. I pray we all feel the power & the presence of the Trinity in our daily lives, in all that we do...

I remember reading this. I don't mean to be sexist but it seems the few times I've read of exceptional sportsmanship like this, it has involved women's sports. I've begun to think ultra competitiveness is never a good thing. Play for the joy of it, and when it stops being fun, it's probably not worth pursuing. It's interesting that since the ball cleared the fence that she would have been allowed to drag herself around the bases. How sad would that have been to watch. (This was a situation when an umpire discretion rule would have been useful.) Sometimes the rules don't matter, the outcome doesn't matter, what matters is the moment and how we handle it. The news is so often negative, it's nice to read of good people doing good things.
